Something easily overlooked when using vintage gear is the AC mains. Vintage tube gear has limits. In the case of the PAS, there's a voltage chart in the manual, and the allowable AC mains is discussed elsewhere in the manual as well, if I recall.
It can be spot-checked with a handheld meter. But AC mains can wander significantly over hours, days and even longer periods. If manageable, I'd encourage the use of either a data logging meter or something that displays the AC mains voltage in real time. Power conditioners and similar things may have this sort of feature.
Follow Ups:
I am not sure why I would data log, but I use a 500w autoformer to drop to 110. Ditto the el cheapo Aliex preamps, the heaters are night lights at 122.
If he breaks your heart I'll nail gun his.
