Thanks to all who answered my request for help with my modified Magnavox EL84 amp. After rewatching a video from "Blue Glow Electronics," I discovered that this amp has a center channel. I've included a pic of the under side which as been modified and caps replaced. It looks like the RCA plugs on the back are outputs for the speakers, from what I can see? Seems I need two more? Also the top side "inputs" seem to be just that, from my view of the underside. Any more experienced opinions/help is much appreciated. After listening to the results of "Blue Glows" work, I really want to get this amp working!
Thanks,
Paul F

Well, I posted the wrong pic! Here's the one I wanted to post. It shows the entire underside of the Magnavox amp.
Thanks,

After looking it over I have some doubt that Magnavox built this. Their chassis and transformers, but I think someone thought they had a better idea.
Did this ever work to your knowledge ?
Anyway, that in/out circuit is all frigged up. They got the one on the left, first one, see both yellow wires. Each is somehow soldered with the wires from the input RCA jacks. Those should be a thousand miles away from there.
One kinda strange thought went through my head though, it is possible that someone was trying to bridge it but didn't know what he was doing enough, as in beyond his skill level.
Anyway, first get them off there. Next is the fun part. Finding the real inputs.
We need to know what tubes it has. I assume like 6BQ5s, and the other two maybe 12AX7s, but whatever they are, to know what's what we need that.
dont know much about that particular amp, but the RCA jacks are NOT for the speakers, they are for the inputs from the preamp.
Have you been in touch with the person you bought the amp from with questions?
Hi Louie3,
Thanks for your help. I'll give it a go with the RCA jacks as inputs. I have to look up the guy I bought it from on eBay. It was a while ago as I've been putting all the other parts together, preamp etc. I'll check him out. Really should take it to a guy who has worked on my other gear. Just thought I might get a better idea of what's going on. I would like put speaker Jacks on the back and also, take out the center channel. Just want straight through sound to speakers. Thanks again.
Cheers,
Paul F.
You did not show a picture of top of chassis, but looks like two RCA jacks on top close to the volume control. If so, those are the amp input. The two gold colored jacks pictured on side of chassis are obviously connected to the audio transformers thus are the speaker outputs.

Hi there,
Yes you are right about the inputs on top of amp. This was confirmed by tech who is working on it now. He's putting new style speaker jacks on and checking all tubes. Very anxious to get it back and try it out.
It is a very nice sounding amp. About 12 to 15 watts per channel. The 6EU7 tubes are RCA. Change to GE 6EU7for better sound. You can sell the RCA for $30. These:
