I'm not a big fan of expensive amp stands and the little experimenting I did indicated that stands with spiked feet helped with my tube amps, not so much improvement with my solid-state amps. In fact, I'm not sure if the stands made any difference with my solid-state amps. YMMV
I experimented mostly with inexpensive Target (or similar brand / style) stands) or butcher blocks with spikes.

Thanks again everyone. Given the relatively low cost (compared to others' systems) of my system, I was curious what others thought before I venture into this. I hate the fact that the amp is on a glass shelf but I do question if it's really affecting the sound at all. I may try to get a marble slab and the isolation discs from Solid Tech to try first. Shouldn't cost me too much...I hope.
Here is a simple solution that wont break the bang. You could use anything solid in place of the plastic tennis can lids.
Likely better than the glass.

Where did the boxes come from?
Chad
Hey Chad,
I am pretty certain that I found them at Michaels or maybe Hobby Lobby.
But you dont have to do round or wood for that mater. You can find all kinds of things in the right shape. Costly but beautiful would be things like they use to ground spices- mortar and pestle. You can find pretty ones of marble that are big enough and are artistic. If you want marble that might be a good option and it adds some bling that audiophiles seem to be about. And even at their cost beats audiophile amp stand prices:

Also you dont need round exactly, and here are some links to give you ideas:

Hell you could probably test the idea with some coffee cups. And I used tennis can lids because I play tennis and had a bunch. Any solid round surface that wont let the amp's feet sink will work.
I am not saying it is perfect. If you have a big ass amp like that Pass I had, it isnt easy lining things up. Maybe precise measuring and some blue tack to keep the boxes in place is a good thing. But even without that I was able to get things lined up.
At the prices it is worth a try, and I thought it helped the sound.
