Hi Abe -
Did you prefer the LS16Mkii over the LS16(6922)? Understanding the 6H30 is not as "tubey" but was there an improvement in soundstage, detail, bass performance in the MkII unit?
I saw in another post you used to own a Classe CA-100, I own a CA-101.
Thanks in advance for your time.

It's been a long time between owning the LS16 vs the LS16mkII but I think I do prefer the mkII. I recall that the LS16 was a step up from my CJ PV14L but still a little veiled. I think the LS16mkII is more transparent. But again, it's been years between owning these to variants and I never tube rolled the 6922 based LS16.
All I can say with certainty is that the CJ PV14L is overly polite, dynamically challenged, and noticeably rolled off at the frequency extremes vs the ARC LS16 or LS16mkII. The LS16 replaced my CJ PV14L but that was a good decade ago!
