IMHO, and I'm sure many here would agree, BAT products run best when run balanced. Hopefully you have this option with your amp.

Input is less an issue. BAT makes some great adapters for inputs into the pre. The critical factor is matching pre to power amplifer, and there I have found BAT pre's do NOT work well driving single-ended amplifiers, nor should they ... balanced topologies are just that, and these pieces are specifically intended to run as designed. Also, be aware that just because an amplifier has XLR inputs does NOT mean it is balanced.
The Good Doctor
We have all seen manufacturers that claim their amps and pre-amps are balanced. If they make the claim it is balanced, is there a way to know if it is really 'balanced'?
Ask them for output pin configuration.
