Tubes for ARC Classic 120`s?

I need a little input, which tubes would be better for the ARC Classic 120`s, 6550c`s or KT88`s, Thanks.

Some people prefer the bass characteristics of the kt88s and indeed, they are generally chosen for that reason. More importatnt, though, is to find a source that will match them for you and will stand behind them for the usual 90 days. They are expensive, and will be made more so if not reliable. Have you discounted going directly to ARC for tubes? There are other reputable providers, do a search on this site and you'll find some names coming up regularly.
