You are correct Mosin, I am still using the capacitor.
I understand that the SDS is not ideal because I still use the capacitor, but with the current arrangenement, I have gained the flexibility of making the single speed R-o-K drive, a dual speed drivewithout having to cobble a pulley. I have a fair number of LP's and EP's that run at 45 RPM, so it is a necessity for me.Also, as you stated, the use of the Rek-o-Kut motor and thread transformed the liveliness and impact of the TNT. There still is a slight elevation of the noise level when compared to the stock drive, but this is probably because I removed both the TNT motor as well as the heavy flywheel. The TNT is now driven directly by the R-o-K motor without the flywheel. I am working on addressing the noise level with a very simple trick, however :-)
