I had a similar problem with one of my MoFi's & as was pointed out there was vinyl flashings in the hole. The solution has been mentioned. I took my trusty pocketknife and gently removed the excess material. Worked fine afterwards.It sounds like you don't want to touch the record and are now trapped between wanting to play it and being terrified of damaging it if you try our suggestions.
