I have experimented quite a bit with various lifts. One factor that never seems to be mentioned is placement. I tune my cables as I do my components. In my system, differences can be easily heard with subtle shifts in positioning of the lifts, or the cables themselves...especially with speaker cables.I do not think any two lifts could be acurately compared without attention being paid to placement, and point of contact with the cable.
I dont think one can simply swap and compare...
By the way... IMO, rubber sounds very good...preferable to every wood I've tried.
My two cents...fatcobra
