for those of you using a conventional CRC DC filament supply on a DHT with a 1/2 ohm resistor.... try replacing that 1/2 ohm of crappy conductor with the appropriate length of wire...i was absolutely amazed how much better it sounded, and this was the initial thing that spurned my hate for anything resistive... next i added a core to that length of wire, and got the resistance down to .1 ohm and was able to cut the capacitance by a factor of 10 as an added bonus.
