Yeah Steve, I did not figure home appliances in that post, just for
the audio.Solar/wind setup for home appliances would be a monumental task.
You would have to be conservative considering phantom loads
from power supplys when certain appliances are turned off,
not to mention dryers and washers, fridges, YIKES!I was at a Barter Faire once,(Yeah, a Hippie fair)at this fair
there is no power on the grounds.
The night before, we wondered how the entertainment had a good
loud P.A. system.
The next morning we found out it was all powered by solar panels and
batteries all setup on this trailer with cedar shakes.
(It gave it that Granola feel.)It was quite a interesting setup, at the time, I wish I was more
interested in this sort of subject then, I would have tracked the
guy down and asked him some questions, or at least compliment him
on the thing.
A lot of these folks that live in the boonies use solar power,
(In these parts anyway) a lot could be learned from them IMO.
There is a guy who is nearby me who deals in solar panels,
and windmills.
