And a good idea it is. I do wonder however, if using 2 whole pads instead of small pieces is better. When using 2 whole pads, two whole sides are supported which doesn't compress the pad as much and allows the component to "float" more. When I saw how perfectly the 2 full sized pads seemed to support the sub, and as good as it sounded, I felt it was the only way to go. On the sub anyway. Have you compared both ways?
