Well as I am not a trained jet engine mechanic and have zero experience in such technology I WOULD seek training and instruction from a professional before tampering with a life critical component.
As for what I do know about, the minor mechanical deficiencies of a typical CD playback mechanism are corrected by buffers and tight servo systems to the point of inaudibility. This can be easily measured and demonstrated.
There is no benefit, only worsened performance, to gained by these kitchen table tweaks.
