If this sort of thing -- RFI / EMI / magnetic fields -- can be conclusively diagnosed with testing equipment, I am more than happy to plump for the cost of the equipment and then re-sell it on EBay.
Just tell me what I need to have (assuming it can be done by the homeowner at all; if it can't, then I'm back to trying to find local expertise, which has been a hard-limit on the progress I've been able to make on all of this, thusfar).
