... is it doesn't as such effect it adversely, but what you have is a system already balanced to take whatever the vibrations do into account.
Thus when you take the vibration effects out you are left with something out of balance and perhaps sounding a little dull.
A bit like decoupling speakers from the floor and thinking the system bass light... a bit, not much.
