The link to Mr. Risch's projects was positively intriguing and I couldn't help but feel as though the projects themselves, in addition to being inexpensive, would be a fun way to burn up a weekend.
One observation, and it's probably painfully stupid so forgive me -- but Mr. Risch mentions how much difficulty he had finding a suitable covering fabric for the fiberglass in his bass traps, right? Well maybe there's an obvious answer to this, but my instantaneous reaction was, "why not use grille cloth?" I mean, the end-result would be black, which would make the traps look more like audio gear, and, after all, grille cloth is the one fabric on earth that is absolutely guaranteed to let the sound pass through it on the way to the fiberglass.
