i appreciate the input and willingness to assist. i double checked the partsexpress site and noted that they did have the connector listed as 15A 125V. i went to marinco's site and looked up their .pdf white paper on the connector. they stated that it is rated for 15A in the USA, but only 10A internationally. i'm not clear of the exact reasoning why this is the case, but i'll take it to assume the connector is perfectly fine for powering my receiver and dvd player. thanks much, guys!kevin t
