Now I'm confused: my power amp and my pre-amp use both chokes *and* electrolytics (ELNA Cerafines--couldn't give you the values off the top of my head, I'm afraid) in the PS. Please tell me that I'm benign :) I know for a fact that there's an electrolytic cap in the PS of my phono preamp as well, though. On a separate note, I do have a digital source; just haven't had the time to describe it in my profile yet as it's a bit complex. (I'm new, here, remember :) Basically, transport is AC powered, but DAC runs on batteries only. I assume the noise that concerns you, though, is going to come from the transport and not from the DAC?

- Yes, chokes would be followed by electrolytics. - Al Sekela 12:24:52 03/17/06 (1)
