The AS-4B, 4 shelves, 32kg can be found for around $800. Not quite as cheap as the Lovans but to import could get closer.I could build a flexi, appreciate the tips. But this design do not appear to be that stiff, hence the name and reason why folks move on to better designs. But perhaps cross bars or even better a cast frame square of triangle for rigidity could help with that instead of just relying on shelves. But flexi is cheap and could serve as low cost interim solution.
Will look for David Aiken project as well as others for some inspiration.
