Hello Tea,I have to agree with Ron-C. I have a McIntosh MC-240 amp and like you I have been using RCA 6L6GC tubes. Also have been using RCA 7027A tubes and I have to say I like them about equal. The 7027As have a little more punch and sound quality is good. Also you may want to roll some of the 12AX7, 12AU7 and 12BH7 and see how they will vary the sound.
