I think it depends on your gear...there are different opinions on these tubes from good Asylum folks. Personally with my Cary SLAM 100s the Svet KT88s are much better...deeper and tighter base, mids are richer, and with the correct preamp tubes there is no loss of any extention or detail on the highs. I love the KT88s and have listened to both types for many hours.
