The DA-60 will run the KT88, EL34's through to 6550's--it's just the fact that Jadis do not condone the use of KT88's in that circuit is due primarily to inconsistent supply and reliability problems of that particular tube.
I have owned many Jadis products over the last 15 years and had no trouble with KT90's/6550's tubes.Early power transformers---well thats' another story!Good Listening ,
