Many , many, direct substitutes

The 6189 is an industrial 12au7. You have lots of different choices. I feel that the European types are the best sounding. Of the USA brands if you can find some NOS 5814 enjoy a good reputation.
There are many 12at7 brands like European e81cc that are highly regarded. Military type CV4024, CV455?, A2900 which is very expensive.
