Thats what he does, and is how he does business. Most of his customers don't do their own research, and want recomendations. Thats fine, if your taste and his are the same, or your don't want to mess with swapping much. Odds are, if you know enough to know what tube you want, you can find it elsewhere for alot cheaper. Also bear in mind, just becuse a tube is measured, is NOT a garranty it will sound good. The worst sounding 5691s I ever heard, I got from him. As for the swap meet, I'm sure he made out quite well,not to mention the publicity he loves.
