certainly not. in fact, SETs are so simple theres very little that CAN go wrong. i've been inside my cardinals-not much to them-a few caps and resistors, few inches of wire. An SET has to be REALLY messed up, or just made poorly to die on you-not counting tube failure.
As for the Jadis, they are famous for it-check out their adds-the fine print says shipping not included in warranty-thats what kills you.
