RE: Scott 222 d switch needed?

Look at the pic of the 222. The AC accessory outlet is held by 2 rivets, drill them out or use a dremel tool and grind off the rivet head on the inside. Remove all the leads to the ac outlet. The on/off switch works by completing the circuit on the fused lead (usually) to the primary of the power trans. Your slide switch can be either on/off or on/on, it doesn't matter. you just need to take the old wiring to the on/off sw. and solder the incoming lead to a side terminal and the return wire to the center terminal or the center tap on a on/on switch. To keep track of the on position, I like to have it on when the switch moves to the ac inlet or ac wire, whichever side that is. That is the gist of what to do. Or if you want to keep it stock I might have an on/off switch with the volume control. cheers, Dak
PS, the screws that hold the slide switch in is a size 4 - 40 machine screw, 1/2 of 5/8 inch long.
