He goes to amateur radio conventions, and gets tubes - measures them, sells them in pairs and indicates their likely lifespan.It IS sustainable, but you have to be willing to go to swap meets, and sift through a lot. And it would be pretty hard to make it your mainline income. He does it as a source of funds for his hobbies.
