Very admirable coming to the defense of your friend and I will leave it at that. Sorry that you and your friend took offense to me pointing out politely that the premise of his posts were flawed.
I guess it is very rude of me to encourage the OP to give it a try and not to fetter him with a bunch of hooey negatives. There are literally dozens of desirable tubes on eBay that are mistitled, or otherwise that money makers if you know what to look for. I just bought a pair of tubes today that cost me under $30.00 that were relabeled, but the gold pins and construction tell me that they're worth at least $150 and if they test strong, $300.00...
Sounds like the OP has a good working knowledge and will do fine and hopefully make more than $400 a month!
