For my Blue Hawaii SE headphone energizer/amp (for electrostatic headphones) I got to try a variety of EL34s that a friend had- Telefunken, late 50's 6CA7, xf2, xf4 (if I recall correctly). I had my pick of 4 of any of these tube (for FREE!) for the amp. I ended up choosing the telefunkens.
