Hi. This is off the subject of tubes but on the subject of Audible Illusions. I have a 2D I bought used on the 'Gon. The transformer (I think it's the transformer) hums loudly enough to make the preamp a pain to use, so I don't. I had a local tech look at it and he replaced some power supply caps--at my request and tightened down the transformer. But it still hums away. I tried a humbuster to no avail. Some of the noise comes through the speakers, but I could maybe live with that. So for now Im using a very old Dynaco PAS which is silent as a tomb. Any suggestions? Do you have a website where you offer AI mods/fixes? Thanks!
