I'm sure that this question, or a similar one has been posted several times before.
So here it goes again, what is the best tube for the money for AI 2C?

I've read on this forum and others, that AI preamps tend to be very hard on tubes. I certainly don't want to spend an absurd amount of money, specially if they are only going to last a couple of hundred hours.

I listen 50/50 vinyl/CD's, so I would like the tube to be somewhat low in noise and microphonics.

PS: Where is Audible Illusions physically located these days? Are they still in CA?
