yours has apparently been modified to provide that feature found in the 450s. Tetrode runs higher power, but loses some of the midrange focus and harmonic rightness. BTW, tetrode and UL are not exactly the same animal. UL requires feedback to the transformer. I rather like having the mode choice as both are compromises.edit: My only concern is whether or not other components are up to the added output of tetrode. Mine pulls 1250 watts max.
