Hi Nigel,
Give him another email. He may be away on business.
I've dealt with him often and he replaced several of my EML45s when they first came out and had reliability problems.
I have a pair running now for over 12 months which must be 1000 hours at least and they are fabulous.
Pay the 15% cost even though you may feel they should be free exchange. just ask him to test them and select a closely matched pair.
Hope the new ones prove faultless.
