Oh my, aren't we "holier than thou"? Are you saying I'm stupid, BTW?

You haven't heard the reissues? Then how can you make this statement:

"nothing produces (even a little of) that sonic "shimmer" which is the hallmark of the NOS GL's. I could pick 'em out in a hurricane ;-)"

That's purely your hypothesis. By your own admission in another post, you have no facts to back it up - since you haven't heard a reissue! But it's okay for you to say that, it's just not okay for others.

And even if you spring for some reissues and listen we will only learn YOUR OPINION, not "facts" as you define them.

The FACTS are that people whose opinions I value have made statements about the tube that indicate they find it to be extremely high quality. And even if you feel it is your right to diss Michael Kong, the FACT remains that audio journals in his home country have made those statements.

It seems to me your big problem is that there is a chance that the reality of the situation won't jive with your preconceived notions. Your mind seems to be already made up.

And none of what has been written gives you the right to be as nasty and vile as in this post. I think you owe some people an apology.
