Why a Hickok 539B? This is no doubt a good tester, but there are other testers out there that may be cheaper and are better testers. I would look for a Triplett 3444 or 3444A, a Heath TT-1 or even a Sencore 140 or 150. The first 2 testers I think are better than any of the 539s and the Sencores are good testers that could be bought at a much cheaper price.I think that Hickok mania is getting out of hand. The only reason I keep my Hickok 539C is that customers find it comforting when I use this tester and believe it to be better than my Triplett 3444.
Another great tester is the Hickok Cardmatics. 118B or the KS model. Far better than the 539s.
