Hi,
one of my VTL Tiny Triodes has developed a prominent hiss over the last two or so years. Even with no signal present, you can hear white noise from one speaker.
The other Tiny Triode is even worse. After 20 min. or so it comes up with a sound reminiscent of a glass harp. Seems as if the tubes are ringing or sth. Now when I press the tubes firmly into their sockets, the sound disappears for about two or three minutes, only to return even louder. Switching off the amp has about the same effect.
Any ideas on this?
