How long have the tubes been in the amps?Which tubes are you "pushing into their sockets" when it stops? The 12AT7s or the EL84s? I believe small-signal tubes are more prone to microphonics...
I recently had my first scrape with a microphonic tube in my 6SN7 preamp. It was in the driver stage, and acted like a microphone...it would pick up any little vibration and amplify it. When I switched that tube to the output stage, the amplication stopped, but now it buzzes like crazy. I need to order a new one.
