I would like to try those Valvos (and the Siemens, or Amperex PQ's Bugle Boys, etc if they aren't too expensive). The elusive quality is smoothness, which just a natural by product of a less emphasized, yet extended treble, more full bodied midrange, and deep bass. Perhaps I'm not breaking these in long enough before reseving judgement. The Tungsram are pretty close to the Amperex, but not quite as smooth and natural as the Amperex in my system.
