Nice job with the description of work done. I am glad you liked it. The 'on paper' performance of the 12AU7 is so similar to the 6CG7 it is hard to resist. When I used them as pre-amp/linestage amplifiers, there was *NO* question which one I liked listening to better: the 6CG7

I have liked the GE 12BH7 in slight pref to the others. Slight that is. I have several sleeves of RCA side-getter 6CG7's and some GE's. Both are quite nice.

Now get a CCS instead of the 18k cathode load, and put matched plate loads( 30k instead of a 27k and a 30k )on that stage.
