Hi,I am a Pa80/80 owner for about 5 years now.I bought it second hand
with Golden Dragon KT88s and some Chinese 12AU7s.It had what it takes from the start.But then I use different 12AUs and Siemens E82CC
and Telefungens matched well with the GD.
Then I bought the Svetlanas KT88Cs(with the wings).I liked them better,but then Siemens and Teles ECC82s were out.I ended up with 2
Mullard CV4003s and 2 RT(French)5814s,Better specially with classical
music.Then I got the KT90sIII.Better with Rock,classical I am not sure yet.I am still experimenting with 12AU7s.
What I am getting at,as if you haven't guessed,is that you have to try and see what is best for you,and matchig is as important as the
ideal KT.
