I thought it was better to have fewer gain stages? Is it a three-stage amp? How are three dual-triode 6SN7's used in a two channel circuit?Also, I noticed that the amp is available with 2A3 or 300B tubes. Does this require circuit changes? If so, would it be practical to make use a switch to change from on to the other to better optimize the amp?
Why do the more expensive Cary 300B amps get 15wpc, and the SE-1 kit only 7wpc?
