Let me try another way. the KR tubes nay be slightly more "neutral" tho I dislike the term. But the NOS tubes may be slightly more life-like or realistsic, depending on your point of view. When you go to a concert, does it sound more real in the front or the back(I prefer middle)? which is more truthfull? realistic? Both have different sounds pertaining to tonal balance and ambience etc. Perhaps a better analogy(but still incorrect) would be the KR tubes sound like sitting farther back-not just perspective, but in soundstageing and tonal balance and ambience. Another anaolgy would be the KR tubes may be like going to a concert whereas the NOS tubes would be like having one of your kids play a clarinet in front of you. Both are right but different.
