CJ preamps are notorious for microphonic problems. Best solution is to change tubes. Isolation of the unit may help (as noted previously), but tube rolling is only sure way to erradicate. I have a PV-5 and it took several changes before I settled on a tube combo that minimized microphonics but was consistant with sound quality.Good Luck,
