And I don't mean he's part of the west coast consumer electronics chain of that name.Ron Welborne, George Wright, Gordon Rankin, Doc Bottlehead and tube suppliers or dealers such as Kevin Deal and Uncle Ned give those of us in the U.S. a great group of small businessmen to deal with. I enjoy working with these small shops, and we are fortunate to have them around.
I have corresponded with one of these folks who says that some people have complained publicly in forums and newsgroups about performance problems with their gear, and will not answer the designer's e-mail when he offers to help. Strange!! Even when high-level free help is available, and some people won't accept it.
I will support and recommend these guys as long as they're around.
