The SLP-50B is a great sounding preamp.. especially for the money..
Simple yet elegant. Punchy and fast.. smooth without being colored.
I used this preamp for several weeks..
It does not have the depth or the ability to handle complex music as well as some of the more expensive preamps.. I ended up getting the Thor TA-1000
to get all the attributes of the Cary and the others I mentioned...
The Cary did sound better than some of the others I heard costing more than 2 to 3 times the amount.
