You can call Jolida for your owner's manual. Those folks are pretty helpful & friendly. Depending on what power tubes came with 502A, you can bias your tubes accordingly. It is usually prudent to bias tubes according to manufacturers recommendations, but some folks like to experiment. Biasing tubes higher or lower will result in a change in sonic balance. Keep in mind that biasing tubes on the high side usually results in shorter tube life. You can buy tools to do biasing at your local Radio Shack. They are pretty inexpensive. Get the plastic or plastic handle ones. Be careful when you stick things into a tube amp.Lethal voltages can turn you into your favorite well-done BBQ steak. I recently tried some Mullards & Telefunkens in my 502A and the difference was astounding. There is an archived post by Robert G ( sales manager at Jolida) that Jolida thinks Telefunkens sound the best in their amps. You can do a search on this site on 12AX7s or 12ATs and you'll find tons on stuff on Joilda. Good luck.BTW the 502A is a great amp. To my ears this modest integrated sounds better than many separate pre & power solid state stuff I've heard. Upgrade the power cord too. Makes a big difference.
