I also have one (actually a pair) of Audion Sterling and have compared many types of 5687 as well as comparison with 7119.The 7119 (Amperex Holland) sounds quite different from all 5687 and some people like it a lot. I have tried it for a few weeks but decided to move back to 5687 as I believe the 5687 give a better tonal balance.
