My two cents. Bryston can be excellent, depending on mid and treble of your speakers and the type of music you listen to. I would be careful if you listen to sopranos and violins. Not that the Bryston won't do a good job, just that your amp/speaker matching will be more critical. I've heard Brystons sound great on Martin Logans and Revels, so the potential is there. Haven't heard the recent B&W and Paradigm models, but my past impression was not favorable in the treble using affordable amps. That said, these were the mid priced models and I'm sure they've improved the speakers since then.
