Thats me over on AC. But the goto person on Alons, especially Alon Vs is Harmonia who posts on this board occasionally. While I've had my IV MKI (the original Alon dipoles)going on 17yrs, Harmonia has more breadth of knowledge.
The main concern on Alons, at least on the IVs is that the surrounds on the woofers are foam and they do deteriorate. Carl Marchisotto has folded Alon and reincarnated as Nola, but doesn't offer replacement/upgrades for the IV woofers any longer. Dunno about the V s. But I've stumbled upon a solution.
The reversal of midrange wiring on the Alon V mids is news to me and I'll have to try.....Owen, IMO, you are one very lucky person! If needed, refurbishing the woofs is well worth the effort, and you should be one very happy camper.
