is just about my favorite Beatles album-both on vinyl and on CD. Reason being is that it is all live, No fixing' it in the mix-no overdubs-no take 57. Just them as they were live.
All My Loving, an astounding musical snapshot on the BEEB disc. I may have it backwards but the first part of the song is just Paul singing, unlike the studio version with both singing, then at the 58 seconds mark, John jumps in and right there at that very instant is what I think is the MOST magical seconds of Beatles magic of all.
A divine & sublime mix that absolutely nails that song.
The BBC set is full of other moments like that that are missing from the studio takes, none approach AML though others are close.
A vastly unrecognized and under appreciated releses.
